For a major German brand who operate in more than 10 countries across Europe, the USA and Asia we're searching for a Security Consultant to join with the choice of both in-office or 95% remote working with occasional office visits.
They offer project work across vehicle software, development tools, cloud-based operational services, cybersecurity solutions, and comprehensive engineering projects for software-defined vehicles.
Ultimately they empower vehicle manufacturers and suppliers to efficiently develop, operate, and safeguard distinct vehicle software.
Your work will orientate around:
- Assisting customers in implementing IT security solutions, security processes, or security tests.
- Crafting analyses and concepts such as impact assessments, risk evaluations, security or testing plans.
- Evaluating documents from IT security development procedures.
- Analysing, designing, and specifying new IT security solutions in embedded systems.
- Assessing, modifying, and advancing existing IT security solutions.
- Producing studies and decision papers on novel IT security technologies.
We're looking for:
- Someone with an enthusiastic interest in IT security and specifically cryptography.
- Programming skills in C and Python, and potentially other languages (e.g., assembler, Java).
- A person with an academic degree in a technical or scientific discipline.
- Fluent German and fluent English language skills
The below features would be beneficial:
- Backend system security (servers, networks).
- Project experience on automotive electronics and bus systems.
- Internet of Things (IoT) and relevant interfaces (e.g., USB, Bluetooth, WiFi, mobile communications).
- Analytical thinking and a goal-oriented approach.
- Strong team spirit and effective communication abilities.
- Demonstrated creativity and a curiosity for diverse and emerging technologies.
