We are currently seeking experienced Wind Service Technicians with GE certification to join our dedicated Wind Service Team. In this role, you will be an integral part of our team, providing essential troubleshooting and site support services to our valued partners, contributing to the growth of clean energy initiatives across North America.
Position Overview:
As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of wind turbines. Your responsibilities will include both ground-level and elevated tasks, ensuring the optimal functioning of these renewable energy sources. Your commitment to safety and quality will be pivotal as you deliver high-quality service to meet the demands of our partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of wind turbines.
- Conduct thorough inspections, troubleshooting, and necessary repairs.
- Participate in on-site safety meetings to uphold our safety standards.
- Document commissioning details, timesheets, service reports, and more.
- Participate in on-the-job training alongside on-site personnel.
- Operate company fleet vehicles safely and responsibly.
Expectations and Qualifications:
- High-School diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean record in the last five years.
- Successful completion of drug screening. Proficiency in using basic power tools and Microsoft Office.
- Physical ability to climb heights of up to 300 ft. twice daily and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic wind technician certifications, including Tower Rescue, CPR, First Aid, AED, OSHA 10, Competent Climber, Confined Space, Working at Heights, NFPA 70, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Strong teamwork and individual work capabilities.
- Desirable certifications from major turbine manufacturers and Global Wind Organization (GWO).
- Reliability and a positive work ethic, adaptable to varying conditions.
- Ability to perform effectively in challenging and unconventional work environments.
