Job Title: Software Engineer – Process Automation
Client Location: Arnhem, Netherlands
Remote Work Offering: Hybrid – Minimum 2 days per week onsite in Arnhem + on-site commissioning in Overijssel region

Contract Length: 12 months (Option to extend until 31-12-2027)
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
Start Date: December 2025

Working Hours: 40 hours/week preferred; minimum 24 hours (3 days/week) considered

Project Focus:
On this program you will be focused on standardizing area management and enabling intelligent demand forecasting across multiple locations. This ensures optimized water production, lower energy use, less wear and tear, and improved water quality. You will design, develop, test, and implement functionalities within local PA (Process Automation) systems, adapting existing PLC/SCADA environments (Siemens TIA Portal / GE Cimplicity) to match the requirements.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• Completed HBO degree in Industrial Automation or similar.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Process Automation Software Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Siemens TIA Portal (PLC/SCADA development)
• GE Cimplicity
• Ability to:
• Read P&ID and electrical drawings
• Draft process breakdowns, management plans, FAT/SAT protocols (Testrail)
• Build, test, and commission PLC/SCADA software
• Lead FAT in OTA (Development, Testing & Acceptance Environment) and SAT during on-site commissioning
• Strong communication with Process Controllers, Process Technicians, Project Manager, and engineering team.
• Competencies:

• Strong written and verbal communication
• NEN3140 certificate/designation required
