Job Title: Process Engineer - Biogas

Location: Munich, Germany

Job Summary:

My client is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join their Biogas team in Munich. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing biogas processes to ensure efficient production of renewable energy. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and develop solutions to improve the overall performance of the biogas plant.

Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize biogas production processes, including feedstock preparation, digestion, biogas upgrading, and utilization.
• Conduct process simulations and modeling to evaluate system performance and identify areas of improvement.
• Develop and implement process control strategies to optimize plant performance and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and develop solutions to improve overall plant performance.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and operating procedures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for plant operations, including startup, shutdown, and emergency situations.
• Evaluate new technologies and process improvements to optimize plant performance and reduce operating costs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in biogas production or related field.
• Experience with process modeling and simulation software (e.g., Aspen, SuperPro, HYSYS).
• Knowledge of biogas production processes, including feedstock preparation, digestion, biogas upgrading, and utilization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and German.
