FEM Engineer

Job Description:

As an FEM engineer, you will operate autonomously within a project team, alongside a lead engineer and one or more FEM/project engineers. Your responsibility involves independently conceptualizing and designing tools, progressing through to the final product. These tools may include lifting equipment designed for installing substantial foundation piles, comparable in size to a Boeing 747, for offshore wind farms. Utilizing Simcenter Nastran/FEMAP, you will perform structural design and verification calculations through Finite Element Analysis. Your engagement in the project spans from drafting specifications to concluding with a final report, encompassing design appraisal. Our clientele comprises industry leaders in the offshore sector, with global operations using their vessels. While your primary workspace is our picturesque office in Oldenzaal, occasional travel (by car or plane) is required to collaboratively test tools on-site with the customer.

  • Whether you are a recent graduate or bring several years of work experience, we welcome your application.
  • Possession of a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate problems into creative solutions.
  • Proficiency in FEM software like Simcenter Nastran/FEMAP or Ansys.
  • A pragmatic mindset coupled with a competitive spirit.
  • Fluent in English.

What We Offer:

  • The opportunity to tackle challenges with innovative thinking and translate ideas into efficient tools.
  • Full involvement in the project lifecycle, from concept to product delivery.
  • Collaborative work within a small, close-knit team, fostering optimal results.
  • An independent role with ample opportunities for personal growth.
  • Enjoyment of occasional treats, spontaneously shared by colleagues to enhance the work atmosphere.
