Job - Development Manager
Client Location - Wolfsburg
Remote work offering - Potential of 4 days (must live in Germany)
Client Industry - Automotive
Contract Length - 18 months
Language: German is a MUST and English
Project focus
We are hiring Development Managers to work with our highly reputable automotive partners onsite with our client, our client's software innovation center was founded in 2018 and now works with a diverse and tech-balanced team (developer, designer, product manager in the team; internal customer = product owner). On average, the teams hold between 8-12 developers/engineers. They are continuously working on the publication of new software products for the client such as logistic software, purchase planning and monitoring along with vehicle production monitoring and prediction but they are always striving.
to create new ideas and initiatives to develop. They do not work on the vehicles directly but more on the internal systems.
Key skills and Experience required
Technical requirements:
- Very good knowledge & programming experience in Java, JavaFX, CSS, Scala
- Experience with databases (MySQL, Cassandra e.g.) and distributed file systems (e.g. iRODS).
- Knowledge of VMware vCloud, OpenStack, Docker, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure or CloudFoundry is desirable
- Experience with UI tests and mocking framework desirable
Specific requirements:
- Interest in technology an advantage, as close cooperation with the technical development departments is required
- Focus is on coordinating the functional areas and all information that flows into the software product
- Agile and technical guidance of the development team and (e.g., performing code reviews)
- Completed technical/college studies in the field of information technology or a comparable qualification
