Senior Mobile Application Designer

What do we expect from you?

*You create awesome mobile designs while ensuring consistency, customer satisfaction and innovation.

*You take design decisions based on user testing and data. You actively reach out to our data analytics team and perform usability testing on a frequent basis.

*You build out our design library by looking for reusable patterns, simplifying design and creating re-usable components.

*You help defining mobile vision and strategy. You take part in (or organize) workshops with designers and stakeholders to create future vision and new concepts.

What do we offer?

You're offered a sweet spot in the creative and fun design team. We consist of roughly 60 young professionals in user research, product design, service design and content design. Together, we're responsible for the user experience of +10 digital channels (the website, apps, self-service kiosk at the airport, onboard portal, etc.). We're ambitious, skilled, and devoted to making a real difference in our customers' travel experience.

You'll become part of a squad of 6-9 product designers and report to the Design Manager of your squad. The design team works from 2 locations (Amstelveen and Paris), so expect a vibrant mix of French, Dutch, and other cultures. An average working week consists of office days (1 day with the design team, 1-2 days with the mobile team) combined with working from home.

The ideal profile:

You have a demonstrated passion for design, mobile apps, user research and innovation. You know your way around agile. Therefore you're confident to work with agile product teams that are running at full speed. You can see the big picture (our digital ecosystem, mobile opportunities) but you easily switch to micro level (delivery of designs and flows) and back. 'Team player' is your middle name. As a self-starter, you pro-actively reach out to team members and stakeholders, you're always open to feedback and you're considered a valuable sparring partner. You know how to get people onboard, also when they're hard to convince. You're prepared with a rationale and prototype, and you can bring user insights and data to the table. You have experience mentoring other designers or display the skills and interest to help other designers grow. And, you love design and continuously invest in being a better designer for yourself and the team. Some must haves include:

*Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mobile apps designer

*A broad skillset: UX/UI design, visual design

*Proven track record (at least 3 years) with platform specific design (iOS + Android)

*Great prototyping skills (Protopie or Framer/Principle)

*Experience with setting up and conducting usability testing

*Native in Figma and Figma auto-layout

*Fluent in English. Dutch and French is a plus

*Based in the Netherlands (allowing a face-to-face interview and a quick start date)

*Competent with service design / workshop facilitation with cross-functional stakeholders

*Knowledge of (mobile) accessibility
