Automation Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly technical Automation Test Engineer to support a major transformation programme. The role focuses on building and enforcing automated quality gates across B2B products, network services, and cloud-native platforms.

You will ensure end-to-end service reliability by embedding quality directly into CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and infrastructure automation workflows-not traditional UI testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test frameworks for telecom services and network platforms
• Validate end-to-end B2B telecom products, including SD-WAN and connectivity services
• Build and maintain API, integration, and orchestration testing solutions (OSS/BSS environments)
• Implement quality gates within CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
• Develop automated validation for deployments, provisioning, and infrastructure changes
• Support network and platform automation testing using tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform
• Ensure system reliability, regression coverage, and release confidence across environments
• Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and network teams in a large-scale transformation program
• Contribute to modernization of telecom platforms, cloud-native architecture, and automation initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in QA automation, SDET, or DevTestOps roles
• Strong background in telecom, networking, or large-scale distributed systems
• Proven experience with API and integration testing (not UI-focused)
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar)
• Programming skills in Python (preferred) and/or similar automation languages
• Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent)
• Understanding of OSS/BSS systems, provisioning, and service orchestration
• Familiarity with cloud and containerized environments (Kubernetes, cloud networking)
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps transformation environments

Exposure to:

• Experience in telecom environments (SD-WAN, 4G/5G, network orchestration)
• Knowledge of tools such as Postman, RestAssured, Karate, Robot Framework
• Exposure to DevSecOps and release governance models
• Experience in large-scale digital transformation programmes
