Field Service Engineer – Instruments & Controls
The Netherlands
Maintain, repair, inspect, and calibrate instrument and control systems (gas/fire detection, tank gauging, pressure/temperature transmitters) on inland barges, sea-going vessels, and offshore platforms. Report to the Technical Manager.
Responsibilities:
Ensure equipment meets standards; calibrate instruments; test/validate systems; ensure compliance; troubleshoot; install/retrofit systems; perform repairs; maintain records; collaborate on projects; adhere to safety protocols; related tasks.
Requirements:
- Experience with field instruments (gas/fire detection, tank gauging, pressure/temperature transmitters, ODME, UTI, 15PPM, VECS), calibrators, control loop checks/protocols.
- Knowledge of marine industry standards/safety.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Engineering degree/diploma or vocational qualification.
- 3-5 years’ experience preferred.
- Fluent English, Dutch a plus.
- Flexible hours (including out-of-hours work).
- Regional/international travel.
- EU driving license (B).
- Medically fit for offshore/heights.
- Proficient in Google Workspace.
